6th Grade Counselor

Hello HBMS Families! I am from the small town of Kilgore in East Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with my teaching degree and taught middle school Science and then Teen Leadership for a total of 10 years in Little Elm, Texas. I absolutely love working at the middle school level! I went on to get my Masters in Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2015. I have worked as a Middle School Counselor in Lewisville, Texas and Denver, Colorado before moving to Lakeway. I am thoroughly excited to get to know the students here and to be a positive source of support for them, their families, and the amazing HBMS staff.

Hi! I'm so excited to join the HBMS Buccaneers as a campus school counselor. With 25 years of experience in public education, I've had the privilege of serving as a high school career exploration teacher and middle school counselor. My goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment for all students and their families.

I'm a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, and received my Master's in Education with a Major in Counseling and Guidance from Texas State University. In my free time, I love to travel with my family and spend time outdoors. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year and being a part of the LT community.
