FAQ’s

1. What is the LTISD district library policy? Visit the LTISD district library page.

2. Are there options for parental controls? Click here for more information about parental control features in our online catalog. Conversations with your school librarian are always welcome.

3. How long may students keep library books? Students may keep their library books for three weeks. If students do not finish their books within the three-week time period, students may renew their books. Ebooks and audiobooks automatically return. 

4. Where are the ebooks or audiobooks? Visit Destiny Discover (the library catalog) and scroll down the page to see all digital books. 

5. Can you show me how to use Destiny? Watch a video tutorial on using Destiny Discover. Don't forget that you can access Destiny via LT1. 

6. Do you charge for overdue books? Students are not charged late fees or fines. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, then students will be charged the replacement cost of the book. 

7. When can students come to the library? Sixth grade comes every three weeks with their ELA teacher, seventh and eighth grade come in every four weeks with their ELA teacher. The library is open before school every day at 8:20 am for checkout or study time. Students can also visit any time with a pass from their teacher.

8. How many books may a student check out at one time? Students may check out three hard copy books and 2 ebooks and audiobooks.
